The European Emission Standards sets the worldwide standard that defines the acceptable limits for exhaust emissions of new vehicles sold in EU member states. This are defined in a series of directives staging the progressive introduction of increasingly stringent standards which started in 1995 beginning with Euro I. Here in the Philippines, the Euro IV was originally scheduled for implementation in 2010, but was push to 2012, and finally this 2018. In comparison, the Euro IV directives in the EU took effect on year of 2005 up to 2009 and since December of 2013, the EU is implementing the more stringent Euro VI emission standard.
The beauty of this emission standards is to lessen dramatically if not totally remove the pollutants in the air that comes from exhaust of diesel & gas engines. This sets a stricter limit on the amount of particulate matter, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons that vehicles can emit.
CLEANER AIR, HEALTHIER YOU.
The Euro 4 standard emits 68 % less particulate matter, 57 % less nitrogen oxides, and 50 % less carbon monoxide than the Euro 2 standard, it will really have a big impact in cleaning the environment.
IMPROVES FUEL ECONOMY
Euro 4 gasoline improves power by enhancing engine lubrication, Euro 4 fuels can extend the life and efficiency of the tailpipe emissions systems that’s present on Euro 4 engines.
MAXIMUM ENGINE PERFORMANCE
It restores maximum engine performance by reducing and cleaning internal engine deposits and minimizes the effects of ethanol which corrodes engine internals.
ADVANCE TECHNOLOGY
Euro 4 compliant vehicle also run greener, quieter and are more efficient due to the technological advances especially in diesel engines.
So, to summarize it up, gearing towards from Euro 2 to Euro 4 Emission Standard here in the Philippines far outweighs the cons of not implementing it. We, at Powertrac, Inc. sees this opportunity to contribute more by offering the best Light & Heavy Trucks, & Heavy Equipment, and yet still at an affordable price, truly in sync with our Mission to be a vital part of Building our Nation.
